I like the idea of making sliding closet doors a statement rather than an unfortunate necessity.
Maybe in a child room where the closet is also storage for toys and dress up clothes. This could also work in our master bedroom where an entire wall is sliding doors. It's non-committal because it's easier to change out than a whole wall.
